Set at the foot of Signal Hill, Cape Diem Lodge offers a calm and refined stay in the heart of Cape Town, just moments from the V&A Waterfront and the city’s leading attractions. Housed within a beautifully restored Victorian villa, first built in 1888, the lodge blends heritage character with modern comfort.
Originally known as Huis Uitsig, the house was carefully restored in 2007, with every detail considered to honour its history while introducing a fresh, contemporary feel.
Reopened in 2008 as Cape Diem Lodge, the property offers a considered alternative to conventional city hotels - a stay that feels both personal and comfortable.
We look forward to welcoming you.

We had 2 amazing days in Cape Town and our stay at Cape Diem Lodge was beyond all our expectations. We were warmly welcomed and we got a lot of travel and hiking tips from the host. Breakfast was amazing. Calm and relaxing lodge and area of town. Still close enough for walks down to Waterfront or other parts of town.

Great spot, modern clean room with a lovely garden and views of the mountains. Fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. Bianca was very helpful and made us feel at home. Location is perfect, quick walk to V&A waterfront and lots of restaurants within 2 minutes. Safe surroundings.

Friendly and welcoming staff! I had a lovely room with doors leading to the pool side. They did a great job with renovations and small details since I've been here couple years ago.
